As the economic recession slump continues to hit the country, people start looking around for ways to earn some extra income. As thousands lose their jobs and several others have their salaries significantly reduced, they realize that jobs no longer provide security any more.

Not every company is a good option in this recession. There are many scams out there waiting to take advantage of people's misfortune.
This is what you should ask yourself...
How long has the company been in place? Is it stable and debt free? How is their auto-ship? Some companies have very high monthly demands and this might be difficult for the average person. Is it limited by geographical boundary? With Internet, you should choose a global company so that you have a wide range of customers.

Your upline stands between you and a bright network marketing future. How committed are they to your success? Are they in this business for the long haul or they will be gone the next day? If you want to have your business online, how will they help you? Do they have a system in place?
- The product:
Is it a consumable product which people will still need in a declining economic recession? Is the product reasonably priced? And, it should be a product you love and would recommend even if there was no opportunity attached to it.
Health and beauty products tend to stand the taste if time. You agree with me that ladies can do anything to keep their bodies beautiful:-)
- You:
Does network marketing appeal to you? This opportunity is not for everyone like most uplines would like us to believe. You must love dealing with people.
Do you have the time? Are you coach-able? In a tough economic crisis, people tend to pull back. Most of them are very careful on how they spend their money. This is why you need to develop your skills in order to be successful. You must be willing to learn how you will handle their concerns.
If you evaluate yourself and find that it does not fit your style, you should consider something else.
If you love the concept, this is the right time. There can't be better timing:-)
Statistics and history have shown that network marketing booms in a declining economy. As others lose their jobs and have their salaries sliced, you can smile because if you work smart, you will have a consistent check coming in.
